Police Remands Council Chairman In Prison In Connection With Abduction Of 344 Students In Katsina State (PHOTO)

The former caretaker chairman for Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, Haruna Musa is currently being remanded at a Katsina Correctional Centre actually over five charges brought against him by the police in connection with last December abduction of 344 students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara.

According to the police First Information Report (FIR) containing the charges, Musa was arrested on 3rd February, 2021 based on credible intelligence on his alleged links with bandits over the abduction.

The charges are criminal breach of trust by agent, inciting disturbance, aiding and abetting armed robbery, kidnapping and terrorism.
