NO ROOM FOR NEPOTISM EKSG ASSURES, APPOINTS NEW TUTOR-GENERAL

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of Mr. Temitayo Ilori as Tutor-General in the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).

The appointment of Mr. Ilori as Tutor-General in charge of the Ekiti Central Senatorial District is sequel to the retirement of Mrs. Margaret Omogbemi. Until his appointment, Mr. Ilori was the Principal of Ijanmodu High School, Ijan Ekiti and President of the Ekiti State chapter of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS).

In his remarks, the Chairman of TESCOM, Hon. Babatunde Abegunde enjoined the new appointee to justify the confidence repose in him.

Hon. Abegunde charged the new Tutor-General to key into the Educational Reform Development Agenda and Values Orientation of the present administration.

Noting that the appointment was based on merit, Abegunde reiterated the commitment of the Fayemi led administration to quality service delivery, stressing the administration’s zero tolerance for any form of nepotism.

He congratulated the retired Tutor-General for her meritorious service and wished her all the best in her future endevours.

In his remarks, the new Tutor-General, Mr. Ilori expressed gratitude to the State Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve the State in the new capacity and pledged to do his best to achieve the desired goals.
