The Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Gabriel Adejuwon, has said Governor Kayode Fayemi is gradually placing the state on the path of greatness and sustainable development by his radical actions in all sectors of the economy.
Oba Adejuwon, who is the Onisan of Isan-Ekiti, said with Fayemi, Ekiti had got it right in terms of good governance, adding that what was needed at this point was the sustainability of all the good legacies of the governor.
The traditional council chairman in a statement titled, ‘Third year anniversary: Ekiti Obas greet Fayemi, pray for good, committed successor’, expressed satisfaction with the governor’s performance in the last three years.
Fayemi rounded off the month-long activities for his administration’s third anniversary with Ekiti Honours Awards on Saturday.
The statement added, “Our prayer is that God will grant the state a good, incorruptible and committed successor who would continue the good work that the governor has started. We pray that he finishes well and good.”
The monarch Onisan lauded Fayemi for the completion of the ultra-modern Ekiti Civic Centre, successful hosting of the Ekiti Fountain Summit and inauguration of different projects across the state.
It added, “I want to specially congratulate our amiable and hardworking governor on behalf of myself and the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers for his giant strides in office within the last three years.”
