NDLEA arrests 21 suspected drug dealers in Taraba state.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Taraba Command, has arrested 21 suspected drug dealers.

The NDLEA state Commander, Suleiman Jadi, who disclosed this today, while parading the suspects and the items seized from them , said ,the suspects were arrested in Gidin-Doruwa Forest in Wukari Local Council Area in Jalingo, Taraba State capital.

Jadi explained that 239.9 kg of Cannabis Sativa, popularly known as Indian hemp, and 59.7kg of psychotropic substances, which had 274 bottles of codeine syrups were parts of the items seized from the suspects, adding that nine of the suspects had been charged to court while investigation was ongoing on the remaining suspects.

The commander lauded the state government for its support in the area of logistics to the command, and also appealed to the residents of the state to provide the command with useful information that would lead to the arrest of illicit drug dealers.
