Ekiti State government has sealed-up two supermarket and arrested about fifteen people for violating various covid-19 guidelines set-up by government to curtail the spread of the virus..
The covid-19 compliance enforcement team led by the Senior special Assistant to the Governor on Public Health Dr.Jimlas Ogunsakin stressed that government remain committed to the welfare of the people.
He called on the public to assist government in the fight against the seconde wave of pandemic by playing their roles accordingly
The compliance team visited financial institutions and arrested some bankers for violating the protocols like abuse of the facemask,social distancing, handwashing and sanitizer protocols.
Dr.Ogunsakin who frowned at the non-challant attitude of commercial bank officials maintained that government would be strict with the compliance protocols at such centers.
He called on all and sundry to re-awaken their consciousness that the second wave of the virus was sever and proper measures need to be taken and adhered to.
Dr.Ogunsakin emphasized that the compliance exercise would be taken to all the sixteen local government areas in the state for further enforcement.
