• Pierre Gasly wins Italian GP!!!

Pierre Gasly caused a modern-day Formula 1 shock by winning his maiden race for AlphaTauri after a hugely-dramatic and incident-filled Italian GP in which Lewis Hamilton finished only seventh after a time penalty. He is the first French formula one winner since Olivier Panis in 1996 Monaco Grand Prix. He was only 3 months old!

TENNIS

• Novak Djokovic defaulted from US Open
World number one, Novak Djokovic was disqualified from the tournament after striking a line judge with a ball during 4th round match with Carreno Busta.

• Sergio Reguilón has been offered to Manchester United. The board and Ole are considering him as an ‘option’. Sevilla has asked to have him back on loan from Real Madrid.
• Chelsea have reached a ‘crucial stage’ in talks with Rennes to sign Edouard Mendy
• Lyon have reportedly rejected a £31.2million bid plus a player from Arsenal for Houssem Aouar.
• Thiago Alcântara has said his goodbyes to his Bayern Munich teammates as he prepares to leave the treble winners. Liverpool are still in contact with his agent.
• Wolves have signed Marçal on a two-year contract from Lyon.
• Wolves have signed Porto’s 18-year-old forward Fabio Silva for £35m, a club-record fee. He’s put pen to paper on a 5-year contract.
• Newcastle have had a £20m bid accepted from Bournemouth for Callum Wilson.
• Ryan Fraser agrees a deal to join Newcastle subject to a medical that will take place today.
• Newcastle have agreed a £15M + add ons deal to sign Jamal Lewis from Norwich. He will undergo his medical in the next few days.
• AC Milan are now close to reaching an agreement with Chelsea to sign Tiemoué Bakayoko. It is a loan deal valued €3m with option to buy worth €30m. Deal to be completed soon!!!
• Barcelona have reportedly agreed a €25m deal with Lyon for Dutch forward Memphis Depay.
• Barcelona and Juventus are currently agreeing a fee for the sale of Luis Suarez. Juventus have already reached an agreement with Suarez for a three-year contract worth €10m per season. Luis Suárez has been asked to train on his own by new Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman as he prepares to leave the La Liga club for Juventus.

• Ministry gives conditions for NPFL kickoff
Sports Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare, warned that no stadium should be opened for any football game without strict adherence to the sports protocols. He also directed that there must be total implementation of the club licensing control before the new football season can resume.
