EKITI PROMOTES ADULT EDUCATION WITH 3 MILLION NAIRA LEARNING MATERIALS

Ekiti State Government has procured learning aids and equipment worth N3 million to boost adult and non-formal education and improve literacy level.

The Deputy Governor Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi said this while receiving the officials of the Board of the Agency for Adult and Non Formal Education in his office on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the deputy governor’s Special Assistant (Media), Odunayo Ogunmola, the state government would work within the available resources to make education accessible to aged people and other citizens not privileged to receive Western education.
Meanwhile,the Chairman of the Board, Michael Atejioye, explained that the state government has approved the involvement of political office holders and officials on consolidated salaries in the sponsorship of non-formal education in their localities.
