The Olumilua family in Ikere Ekiti, over the weekend received many dignitaries on condolence visits on the death of their patriarch, the late Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua, a former Governor of the old Ondo State.
Among them are the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Biodun Omoleye.
The eldest son of the deceased, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, who is the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, received the dignitaries on behalf of his family.
Speaking to newsmen after signing the condolence register, Erelu Fayemi described the late Olumilua as a man of great values and virtues that are worthy of emulation by Nigerian leaders.
According to her, the former Governor left great legacies for both Ondo and Ekiti states regarding selfless leadership.
Also commenting on the departed elder statesman, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Omoleye said that the late Olumilua impacted the life of Ekiti people in no small measure but left at a time his wisdom, experience and expertise were needed for the betterment of the country.
Responding on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Aare Olumilua said that the death of his father called for celebration because he died a fulfilled man.
He thanked Governor Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti First Lady and members of the Fayemi cabinet for identifying with the Olumilua clan.
