The Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, says the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, which was earlier scheduled to be finished in 2021, will now be completed in the first quarter of 2022
Fashola disclosed this in an interview with Newsmen in Lagos.
He said the delay was due to the Corona virus pandemic, which has slowed construction activities and affected government revenues.
The minister noted that while work was suspended during the Corona virus lock-down, earnest efforts were made to resume once the federal government started to lift restrictions.
The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is part of projects funded under the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund.
