Court withdraws corruption charges against NFF president

A federal high court in Abuja has struck out the fraud case brought against officials of the Nigeria Football Federation.

This comes after the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, secretary Mohammed Sanusi, first vice president Seyi Akinwumi, and 2nd vice president; Shehu Dikko were accused of misappropriating more than eight million Dollars, but the court found them not guilty.

At the court session, counsel representing the attorney-general of the federation applied to withdraw the charges.

The Attorney general of the federation took over the case from the office of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel on Recovery of Public Property (SPIP) which originally instituted the case against the defendants.
