The Ekiti state governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi has officially handed over Christ School over to its original owners which are the Anglican Communion church with a charge not to disappoint the government and people of Ekiti state.
The governor at the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the parties, said his government is committed to improving the standard of education in the state.
He affirmed that missionaries have played vital roles in the development of schools in the country by inculcating in the students spiritual and moral values just like the Christ school established in 1933.
He urged the new managers to maintain the standards for the benefit of the state and humanity as well as support the restoring lost values mantra of his administration.
He hoped that Christ school would serve as a veritable pilot program that will spur other missionaries to make a move.
