NANS cautions public from playing politics with FUOYE crisis.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone D has cautioned members of the public to desist from playing politics on the death of two of their colleagues who lost their lives in the crisis that engulfed the Federal University, Oye Ekiti on Tuesday.

NANS Coordinator Zone D, which comprises Lagos,Ogun,Osun,Ekiti,Oyo and Ondo states, Adekitan Lukman made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on the development in Ado Ekiti.

He called on the Ekiti state Government to set up a judicial panel of inquiry to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the killing of two students of the institution .

The NANS Coordinator also demanded the compensation for the injured students in the fracas, restoration of electricity to the institution and immediate release of the students arrested.
The two students who died at the institution were allegedly killed by bullet wounds while protesting against the Benin Electricity Company over power outage in their campuses.
