Eight-time National Wrestling Alliance world heavyweight champion, died on Thursday at the age of 76 following health complications.
According to WWE official website the Race died from lung cancer.
Harley Race was the NWA’s most dominant champion, representing the sport’s oldest World Heavyweight Title with pride and defending it all over the world during the 1970s and early ’80s. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 and “will always be regarded as one of the toughest men in sports-entertainment history” according to WWE.
